The Chimney Company founder, William Bassels has been in the construction and real estate business for over 25 years. In 1994 he began specializing in the chimney building & repair and lining industry. He would obtain his W.E.T.T. certificates for “Technician and Sweep” and "SITE Basic Inspector" shortly after. Not being completely satisfied he contacted “Toronto Municipal Licensing & Standards” to be tested for chimney repairs and installation. He passed the exam and obtained a license as a “Chimney Repairman”. In 1997 The Chimney Company was officially incorporated and carries all the necessary credentials, license, certificates, workers coverage, liability insurance and guarantees.
